MEMOIRS OF A SINGLE MOTHER

Growing up in a proper African home, I always heard words like 'If you let any boy touch you, you are doomed forever.. you see Bose, iya Biliki's daughter? Since she got pregnant she hasn't been able to further her education. Is that the kind of life you want?" No ma! I would say. I had vowed then to keep my chastity till marriage because that was the only way I would not end up as a single mother, unwanted or looked down upon by the society. That was the only way I would get a man of my dreams, have the family of my dreams, enjoy my career life and be successful.
No! No one told me that keeping my chastity still doesn't prevent me from being a single mother. No! No one told me life could pick me up so roughly, spin me continuously till I almost lose my breath and throw me down so hard that I almost break into pieces.

MOROCCAN FOOD TRY-OUT | EAT OR PASS?

July 18 was my birthday, i was wearing an old sequinned gown from my wardrobe, apart from my earrings, nothing else was new, so i decided it was time to try something NEW! I have had Chinese and Italian dishes in the past and this time, i wanted a different taste. So your girl celebrated the Moroccan way at MOZO RESTAURANT. (BEST MOROCCAN RESTAURANTS IN AMSTERDAM? YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK OUT MY REVIEW ABOUT MOZO HERE). Was it worth it? Hmmm...Maybe, Maybe Not, you should read till the end to know.

BEST MOROCCAN RESTAURANTS IN AMSTERDAM | RESTAURANT MOZO REVIEW!

Best Moroccan food in Amsterdam? Then you should check out RESTAURANT MOZO located at  Van Woustraat 89 in De Pijp district of Amsterdam. please note that this is an honest review, not sponsored.
I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant on the 18th of july and one of the things i found striking is the fact that only the two owners of the restaurant do the cooking! When they are not around, then business is closed! What a sacrifice just to preserve the unique taste you get here. Definitely, they are not only out for profit but customer's satisfaction. Quite noteworthy!

So, i collaborated with the gorgeous Nahima to create my first Eid look-book and i totally love the outcome. Nahima is a self-taught Makeup Artiste in Amsterdam and i'm still wondering why she hasn't added photographer/cinematographer to her Bio. She made my work so easy, i didn't need to talk too much, Nahima understood me so well, we really connected..that's ART.

This year, i promised myself to do more of things i love. Fitness is one of them for sure, i may not be a fitness instructor or anything close but i LOVE to keep fit! I registered at the gym yesterday and this was my outfit. By the way, i'm loving this bumbag trend, so stylish. It's so funny how things we didn't think was stylish now find a way into our wardrobe. Can we just give Nigerian market women the 'trend setter of the year' award...lol. The bumbag is one of their essentials, you always see it
